You know you might have that sports team you are obsessed with and you stick with them, even when they suck.
But what you may not know is that seniors may also have that one team they have been cheering on since they were kids. It may be one that you may or may not like, but they are still in the same boat as you.
Maybe someone else you know loves your team or another team. Spend 5 minutes a day, or even per week ,to just talk. It may be about your team or a different team, or even a different sport. Over time, you will learn to respect others’ opinions.
Even though they may not be the pen pal you imagined, just remember that we all have something in common. Whether it’s activities you do, sports teams you like, or even a sport in general, they are your pal. Sports, and just being a fan, teaches us respect and connection like nothing else can.
