Earth day

Every year around this time(around this time meaning April 22nd)there is a holiday called Earth day.Earth day is a holiday created to show support for  environmental protection which basically means to take action to help the environment.

Now you might be wondering what in the world would I do to take action and help the environment?

Well the first thing that comes to my mind is planting something. I especially now during COVID 19 recommend a fruit/vegetable plant because after your plant grows you can eat it if COVID 19 gets bad so you won’t have to go to the store!

You could obviously ♻️ recycle but recycling does not necessarily help if you don’t recycle the right things. I did not actually know this until I read this website:
but you are not supposed to recycle: paper towels, styrofoam, bubble wrap, pizza boxes, grocery bags and batteries! I literally put bubble wrap in the recycling earlier this morning! Better go take it out and put it in the trash! There might be stuff you didn’t know that you couldn’t recycle it but that’s okay. After you know it shouldn’t be recycled do not recycle it anymore and that’s helping the environment!

People are helping the earth and others by staying home. When people stay home it helps  the earth by making the pollution levels lower,(people aren’t driving as much.)We are helping others by staying home and that will make it less of a chance of others people getting sick.

Now with COVID 19 some people are out because they NEED to be out and there are some people out because there like why not! Now when you are home and bored with nothing to do maybe thing about playing outside or even though earth day passed that doesn’t mean you can’t make a difference.
Stay safe!
